UNIFEM Singapore (National Committee for the United Nations Development Fund for Women) is a non-profit group working towards Women’s Empowerment and Gender Equality. Its programs in Singapore and in Southeast Asia are designed to assist women in the region by providing access to education, health, economic independence and a life free of violence and abuse.

Current Projects
[October – November 06] International Day Against Gender Based Violence:
The Group is currently collaborating with UNIFEM to launch a university-wide campaign to raise awareness about gender-based violence. This campaign will highlight the general forms of gender-based violence through a forum and a film screening in early November, and will be held in conjunction with UNIFEM’s public awareness campaign that culminates in the International Day Against Gender-based Violence (25th November).
